NYT commenters describe how the business model is at odds with what consumers want (to be paired off and no longer need the app). It would be interesting if there were a equity crowdfunded platform designed to be aligned with consumers' interests. Like several of the NYT commenters, I met my spouse on OKC back when it had lots of questions to answer (it's now apparently swipe-based, like everything else). I would have happily invested in the old OKC to help keep it the way it was.
