Apple 'like The Godfather' with new App Store rules
- tombert 3y agoLooking at the rules and fees associated with them, it doesn't really seem like Apple made any changes. They "sort of" allow third party app stores, but they're still milking money from them anyway. Even Nintendo wasn't able to get away with that in the 80s. Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree made unlicensed games by bypassing the lockout chip, and as far as I'm aware, they didn't have to pay Nintendo extra fees on top of that.
