Recently I was trying to create lightweight SVG images for an embedded project and was looking for exactly this type of thing. I ended up drawing them in Inkscape and then opening in a text editor to strip out everything that wasn't necessary, and round every coordinate to the nearest integer. I was using Ristretto next to the text editor to see the changes and was kind of wishing it could go the other way as well, maybe as a plugin for Geany or something.
