Google is blocking rooted Android phones from using RCS messaging
- andy99 3y agoThat sounds great. It's effectively a man in the middle attack and I don't want it but they kept switching the defaults to use it. Time to root my phone I guess.
- fsflover 3y agoOr time to consider truly free GNU/Linux phones.
- josephcsible 3y agoAre there any practical phones that are truly free, including the baseband?
- fsflover 3y agoNot including the baseband, but Librem 5 runs an FSF-endorsed OS (PureOS) and has a removable modem with a hardware kill switch. (My daily driver.)
- 0xedd 3y agoCan't wait for the perfect candidate. Vote with your wallet. I'm daily driving the PinePhone. It is listed as beta. It has bugs. That's OK.
