If I were trying to break a torrent, I'd put thousands of peers in the swarm and share bad data.
I'm all for the culture spammers getting better at busting p2p, so p2p gets better and subverting the culture spammers.
- CraigRood 14y agoSending bad data won't prevent anything either, It will merely slow down the peers by wasting bandwidth. Torrents by nature work against bad data being received by hash checking each chunk of data. (You can't trust anyone on the internet). Most clients would simply block each "bad" peer after several bad chunks.
