The track log shows a gap in the data around the time the incident occurred. Is it typical for gaps to exist in that route (out of range for any ADS-B receiver) ?
- huppeldepup 3y agoIn ADS-B the location is determined by the airplane and is periodically broadcast. A gap in data could/would mean a gap in broadcast or positioning.
- jconnop 3y agoIt is common for flights to have gaps in live data for portions of Aus<->NZ flights over the Tasman sea, yes.
