Have you tried searching anything on YouTube lately? [video]
- atum47 3y agoIt is getting worse each passing day. It's unbelievable that they want you to pay for a subscription while they try to force this awful content on you.
- atum47 3y agoIt has also changed the configuration on my app so that the next video would play automatically. And you guessed it, the next video is always something they recommend.
- derbOac 3y agoSometimes I feel like there should be a daily rating index of how different recommendation or search systems are doing, a sort of "sentiment index" for recommendation and search system efficacy. I was just thinking about this last night, that YouTube has seemed really off lately for me. I wish I knew if this was all coincidences or what. It reminds me a little of TikTok. I don't mean that to bash TikTok; it's obviously working for a lot of people, but for whatever reason I could never get it to be recommending anything I like. YouTube historically has been pretty good for me but the last month or so has seemed different. It's almost too narrowly focused or something.
