We're seeing less and less real content, while seeing more information at a faster rate.
News articles, media in general had an expectation of being made by a person, who experiences day to day life, talks with people to verify sources, and has a goal of informing people.
All of the above are moot, now that anyone or even just a script can generate information we can't distinguish from the real deal. We might even prefer the more fun and comfortable articles.
This kind of reality warping is something we've see in dictatorships, where all information is biased one way. Now it's done globally.
Why should I trust that anything is different from an opinion or a fiction book, when everything is malleable?
It's going to be difficult to do any sense making.
