The walk of fame (like this post) itself is silly, but hey, it's something. Isn't the fact that someone's star, like Donald Trump's as cited in the article, continues to be defaced actually a thing of beauty vice a source of ridicule? Memorials that once were a place for remembering "honorous achievement" can indeed, equally, become a source of disgrace when viewed in a new light. However, to forget the disgraced is inviting an opportunity to relive the horror. Use plackards and moving trucks (i.e. to diaplace faltered memorials to a new location), not wrecking balls. The latter is akin to selective memory suppression.
