Given how they’ve treated Evernote, I’d highly doubt it. They seem to operate on the model of purchase, fire and profit. Recently each acquisition seems to have followed the same pattern where they buy a company, raise prices, and fire existing staff. They did it with FiLMiC in September 2022, Evernote 3 months later, and most recently a mobile app developer called Mosaic. It remains to be seen what happens to Meetup, whom they also purchased in January. Given that Evernote killed Skitch 10 years ago, it’s highly likely that the source code is stuck on a backup never to be seen again. Bending Spoons do not seem like the sort of company that gives a rats about giving back to the community.
