A Subtle Shift Shaking Up Sibling Relationships
- gnicholas 3y ago> According to Schwartz, 22 percent of mothers now space out their kids by six or more years. This phrasing makes it sound like they do this on purpose. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not so much a choice as (1) the later child was not conceived on purpose, or (2) the mother was not able to have children closer together either due to fertility issues or relationship changes. I don't know any moms who would purposely have kids this far apart, though I don't know all kinds of people.
