And hordes of useful idiots (who somehow claim to be anticapitalist) claim that it's a good thing that unaccountable bourgeois corporations are socially engineering society from the top down. Well, once they pivot from "that's not happening" to "don't you dare say that shouldn't be happening!"
- Phiwise_ 3y agoI assume that french word must translate to "federal government" in english, right? What you've written makes no sense otherwise.
- didntcheck 3y agoNo. "Bourgeois/ie" is such a widely known word in English that I didn't realise it wouldn't be understood. It can be read as "[capitalist] elite"/"ruling class"/"1%"/etc It's possible I used the word slightly wrong as the definitions I've now looked up often refer to the "middle class", though as I understand that could historically refer to people who we'd think of now as very upper class, just not actual nobles. Nevertheless, the above reading is what I intended

- didntcheck 3y agoWell now I'm completely confused as to what point you were/are making
- Phiwise_ 3y agoMy point is that what you wrote isn't true.
- didntcheck 3y agoThen you'll need to make an actual argument rather than feigned confusion and "no" next time
- Phiwise_ 3y agoI've spent way too much time spoonfeeding accessible reality in this thread already. It's very tiring to fail to run into anyone with the intetest to learn things themselves. You have as much ability to read the public record as I do, yes?
