    That's not true, GW/CC hasn't had any major political or popular traction before around year 2000, so ~25 yrs.

  Maybe AI will help us solve it. One thing that doesn't help is hand wringing and fantasies of de-growth (always directed at others, naturally - "my private jet is needed, but let's talk about your sedan").
