It's possible we've been moving in entirely different circles – I've worked across a lot of areas and I have not encountered anyone, inside or outside, who considered frontend to be a 'dirty word' or associated shame with the title. These blog posts seem to be saying that trends are changing as though we're emerging from some kind of age of oppression. I have no idea what they are talking about, surely we would have seen a lot more discussions around it.
