    There's no gain to be made like that. The fact that you mention Nvidia is a selection bias: you won't mention the 1000s of other companies for which that didn't work, or even you would have lose money. I could tell you that stocks starting with a vowel have positive returns in Christmas of odd years. Even though "gains are gains", it's just a selection bias as well and isn't tradable. As a non professional investor, you are better off considering that any information you have access to is already priced in the market. If the price is lower than what you think, it's probably not a "good deal", but rather that you didn't understand the risk that other most sophisticated players priced.
