This site is the reason I and my family took the overnight sleeper train from Georgetown to Bangkok in 2014. An incredibly valuable experience. Hundreds of miles of palm oil plantations, shantytowns by the tracks, people living their lives…like brightly lit scenes in my memory. We talk about it as a family years later.
