I feel like there'd need to be some behavioral analysis done before implementing this. If someone is illegally trawling, seems like they'd have no qualms with abandoning shredded nets overboard then becoming an uncontrolled "ghost nets."
- Doxin 3y agoSure, but nets cost money. It'd very quickly turn trawling those areas from "profitable" to "money sink".
- c_o_n_v_e_x 3y agoI like Indonesia's approach... They confiscate and blow up the boats of illegal fisherman.
