What the hell is going on with the twitter replies? They are all jabbering about DEI? What on earth does that have to do with aircraft maintenance processes?

  I think it’s pretty obvious that if it weren’t for DEI then the plane wouldn’t have lost a tire.

  Fascinating. It's completely different set of spams than I've seen and I've seen mentioned. There seem to be completely separate Twitter universe(s) segregated and carefully hidden from vocal minorities.

  Twitter is full of fragile white men. I'm sure it has something to do with this(?). In 2021, United Airlines released the following statement: “Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That's why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color.”

You can thank my boomer dad for this one who sent an “article” about DEI eroding flying safety because airlines hire less competent people to fill positions to meet DEI quotas. It’s unsubstantiated at best, and the “sources” from said article were themselves literally tweets from anti-DEI people shouting into the void “did some of these incidents happen because of DEI policies?” with no response from airlines. First thought: "737 MAX? Did they forget a few more bolts?" Nope, 777-200. Still not a good times for Boeing, I'm not gonna be alone with this train of thought.

And another nail in the coffin containing the credibility of the media. It wouldn't have been newsworthy unless it were a Boeing plane.
