Putin is attacking Ukraine as hard as he can. We don't need to worry about provoking more aggression out of him.

      I still don't understand why you think I'm "worried" about someone "provoking" Putin. If anything it's the opposite: There's no point trying to avoid provoking Putin because (A) he's a dishonest actor and has/will feign a grievance for any reason that benefits him and (B) Ukraine from forming alliances with its neighbors is one of his primary goals, so it's impossible to get that with land-deals or conciliatory gestures.
