Why? Privacy and permanency are orthogonal axes. You've never kept a cherished letter or re-read a thoughtful text message?
- yaky 3y agoIf the message was something I found interesting, important, or funny, I would usually copy or screenshot it. Or remember it. Although I don't proactively delete old messages, I never intentionally backed up or transferred message history between devices either. As for privacy and permanency - if data stops existing, it is definitely private now :)
