HR is the problem especially as organizations grow. People in HR are some of the worst. I equate them to used-car sales. They end up hiring mediocre brown-nosers because they tend to have longer tenures and this gives HR better performance metrics. And that also works out for mediocre staff because they don’t want to be exposed. This dynamic creates a long-term loop within the organization: mediocrity hell.
