Most PhDs in this field are going to be in computer science. Computer science is not programming. Most of us are not hiring scientists.
OPs point is that if you were a hospital, you would take a different stance on the relevance of a doctorate degree to your hiring criteria.
- pc86 3y agoThey'd probably take the same stance, that a PhD is useless, since in a hospital you want nursing staff, or medical doctors. PhDs are going to be about as good as JDs (honestly likely even less useful).
