All my diabetes stuff is free, in my country. But it must be shipped to my house in Quarterly deliveries. Shipped in several boxes, each filled and wrapped. then the GCMs, strips, refills, pump connectors come in their own boxes. Some per ten, some single. Each sub-box has several booklets with instructions and safety guidelines. Each unit is individually wrapped in plastic, paper. All of them are single use. Even connectors and rods. Our combined household has less waste than my insulin therapy produces. One single insulin therapy produces more plastic, paper and wrapping weight than what my wife and I produce together on everything else. It's utterly insane.
