I certainly agree, and use a lack of social media presence as a positive signal for hiring. However, it was a bit of a battle to convince the other stakeholders in the company that it should be viewed positively instead of negatively. And this is at a security company, where we have a whole open-source intelligence department! I think you and I are in the vast, vast minority.
