Conveniently left out the part most salient to Linus' argument? Linus repeatedly stresses that he thinks Github is great as a hosting service. It is the pull/commit functionality which he finds lacking.
- algorias 14y agoHis argument isn't under question here, his civility is. The original quote was a perfect example in that regard.
- primatology 14y agoYes, and he calls GH's pull/commit functionality "braindamaged crap." That's implying that "they're idiots for doing this." I apologize for the misquote; again, that was unintentional.
