Governments not keen on pushing citizen-facing AI services, for obvious reasons
- notjulianjaynes 3y agoAnecdotely, a school district in a town near where I live recently signed a contract for software that purportedly had the capability to automatically generate meeting minutes for the school committee. Both the company and the district were a bit cagey on how exactly this worked, but I don't see how it could not be AI powered. Whether this is a positive development or not I'm unsure. It's amusing to think about the possibility of political cant (d)evolving into some form of prompt engineering or data poisoning though. An LLM that can automatically respond to FOIAs would be pretty sweet. Very doubtful I'll see that in my lifetime though, and I'm not all that old.
