You're exactly right and to me that's part of finding the 'right' solution for the organization. Sometimes you compromise for 'alignment', and heck sometimes you discover that those compromises were a better solution all along. In other cases you chose to 'pick a battle' and find the best way to navigate and get buy in. Because again being right -and getting buy in- is the important part. Not later giving everyone an 'I told you so'.
