Even pre-ChatGPT era, Google was bad at filtering out SEO spam. For that reason I switched years ago to Duck, and nowadays Kagi. Google got so bad at their own core business that I can't understand why it is still the No. 1 search engine.
- littlecranky67 3y agoThere is a business incentive in not filtering out SEO spam: If your competitor is ranked as No. 1 on Google search results for a keyword, you can either invest in SEO spam yourself, or buy Google Ads, which will show you ontop of your competitor.
