Paying ransoms to ransomware groups needs to be made illegal and prosecuted under the RICO regime.
- blackoil 3y agoTry visualising that on individual level, someone points a gun and person gives up his wallet. Police comes and arrests victim under RICO.
- rightbyte 3y agoThere is no threat of violence involved? At the very least it is participation in tax fraud to buy protection from a criminal IT-gang. I guess they don't pay VAT?
