VSCode -- probably the only good thing, except that it ships with telemetry and the real alternative, VSCodium, can/does not access the official plugins repository and is left to its own devices. Teams -- complete and utter garbage. Outlook -- now serving Ads in between your email. Windows 11 -- complete garbage that cannot even be installed without an online account. Also, look at the other thread today here on HN about the zero-day that had been left unpatched for 6 months despite being known. Oh, yeah, it's serving Ads in the start menu too. OP has absolutely no idea what they're talking about, sorry. Why this shitpost is even on HN is incomprehensible. To clarify, Apple sucks too.
- pjmlp 3y agoIt is still better than Linux laptops sold down the mall, or the stuff with Apple's tax for the same hardware capabilities. Then I get Linux on the box, DirectX 12 Ultimate/Vulkan drivers without issues, Visual Studio (currently leading in C++ support, what a change) and .NET.
