You don't have to get it. Some people don't get classical. Others don't get country and so on. I feel like sometimes treat music taste as if it was a science while it should be treated more like food. You don't all have to like or dislike the same things :) Also, "classically trained" is irrelevant. Having a background on a specific kind of music doesn't grant you authority or insight into a different kind of music
