Not everything has to be nuanced. For young folks it might be not so obvious. Like being contacted outside of working hours or being scolded for taking sick leave. Nowadays I am experienced and in position in life where any of the mentioned above I would turn away and walk or turn off my phone. But I was also young guy some time ago that would go extra mile to please employer and would feel bad for calling in sick.
