  That's what Facebook used to be. I think they really lost their ways when they went from "useful tool" to "let's try to get users to spend as much time as possible". I dream of a "facebook-like" app where you can only add someone as friend via a bluetooth protocol, forcing you to only add people that you've met in real life. Then text only, or with very limited image options.
