- netsharc 3y agoGeez, article seems to be written with too many negations. I get the gist, there's a performance threshold X, a chip that is more capable than X needs an export license, less capable than X is fine, and AMD failed to create a chip less capable than X... Look at the run-around mess of this sentence though: > AMD cooked up an AI chip that falls well short of its most sophisticated silicon in hope that it would fall beneath the threshold at which US authorities would not allow exports to China without first granting a licence.
