- sinuhe69 3y agoCan not fathom why the German military is relying on a commercial civilian platform to conduct its highly sensitive communications. It’s not that they can not develop their own software or infrastructure. All these things are readily available as open source. But building these things themselves will allow them to control from A to Z. They can also opt for a distinct, more secure encryption protocol, which is guaranteed not being touched by the NSA & Co.
