Nintendo Switch emulator Yuzu to shut down, pay $2.4M to Nintendo
- zdimension 3y agoVery sad outcome, but not that surprising given Nintendo's track record of suing fan projects into oblivion. The same had happened with the Skyline emulator some time back.
- flykespice 3y agoNintendo is very notorious for going after emulators that makes money, yuzu devs were monetizing their work, which led them to be beeping louder on Nintendo radar than other works (fangames), very stupid move. Besides it still being an active console, users were using it to pirate pre-release games as evidenced by Nintendo.
