Closing as duplicate is annoying. Unlike normal answers, which participate in voting and defer to the asker for acceptance, it effectively functions as a "super-answer" imposed unilaterally by a power user with few checks on if they were wrong.
- Avamander 3y agoIt takes quite a few confirmations to mark a question as a duplicate except if it's a Community Moderator (with the diamond), there's only a few of them so it's unlikely they are the "unilateral" culprit.
