If the ball takes up 45 degrees in the torus then it would be 7/8 transparent when moving infinitely fast. It would be another 1/8 transparent when spinning the torus into a sphere.
"Infinitely fast" being a stand-in for "sufficiently fast" and gated by the speed of light, of course.
