First off. I dont like collusion or rental pricing software that colludes across companies. However, now this means really big companies can use their own internal data to get advantages that littler players cannot. I also do not like laws that favor big companies over little ones. With the collusion software then littler companies could at least band together to get similar competitive effects that larger companies can.
I'm open to discussion of how to resolve that though, any ideas?
- willis936 3y agoSimple: the big players will need to compete again. They can charge high rates but they will face high vacancy in the face of nearby housing units interested in low vacancy.
- Jochim 3y agoKill the larger companies.
- yardie 3y agoCollusion is illegal. Period. Doesn’t matter if a big landlord or little landlord are doing it.
- maerF0x0 3y agoYeah on further reflection and 24 hours to think on it. What I'm describing is covered by antitrust. Many players are not allowed to collude. If a player gets too big it faces antitrust / monopoly issues.
