SEEKING WORK: Pacific time, remote. Freelance high-end editing, writing, and mentoring for technical, business, and academic writing. I am available for copy-editing and writing of technical, business, sales, consulting, and academic documents. I get used when reports are going out as artifacts of big-ticket engagements, where the reports need to be readable, concise, and highly polished, but also technically accurate. I'm the copy-editor who won't accidentally change the meaning of critical technical details because of a lack of background in tech. - 5 years at an A-list consultancy doing technical diligence and writing reports for transactions up to $1.5 billion (i.e., six-figure engagements). Also created the style guide, wrote internal training documents on writing and reviewing, and reviewed writing from other consultants to create internal process improvements and training material. - 20 years experience in the software industry as full-stack web/enterprise/database dev, manager, CTO - Currently an interdisciplinary PhD student between CS and the arts, continuing from a Masters in the same with an A+ average - Comfortable with various styles, formats, can write to order, follow your style, latex, rst, whatever you need. - Fast - Typical tech contracting fees (i.e., You get good and fast, but not cheap!)
