20 years as a founder and web dev here. The market for an IC is so bad right now that I am literally considering starting a new company as an easier alternative to getting hired anywhere for a reasonable rate. Companies can be as choosy as they want right now. I feel like if I'm missing 1 item from a tech stack I might as well not bother applying.
