Indians are unwittingly recruited into the Russian army

- r0ckarong 3y agoBecause it breaks the fourth wall of the good guy, bad guy narrative.
- alephnerd 3y agoIndians are recruited to Israel to work in construction - not for the IDF. This is also explicitly done under both Israeli and Indian government aegis

- alephnerd 3y agoWhere are you getting this "information"?
- WhereIsTheTruth 3y agoGround reporting, Indian Swastika tattoo on dead bodies with is the only evidence people need
- alephnerd 3y agoGive a source to back your "information". You are a lost cause, but there are other readers.

- WhereIsTheTruth 3y agoLol, a lost cause who shall bring the apocalypse https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/article-771925 https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/article-771925 Now i'll be waiting for yours, oh wait, you operative doesn't need one, haha, it's raining leaks
- alephnerd 3y agoIf you can understand Hindi, here's the labor recruiter's YouTube video advertising working in Russia - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BRX7LQio2Sg https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BRX7LQio2Sg The guy promises that they wouldn't be sent to the frontlines in the video, and was clearly lying. He also recruits in Nepal and Pakistan, and the Nepali recruits mentioned probably came from his labor recruitment agency as well. It's clearly breaking multiple India and UAE labor laws, and don't be surprised if his agency gets shut down. Working as a mercenary is a felony in India. Also, this is clearly irrelevant for HN.
- KingOfCoders 3y agoMost often when people use words like "clearly" they are clearly wrong.

- roenxi 3y agoIn this case he appears to be correct. The article suggests 20 Indians have been "employed" by the Russian army. It might be relevant if India gets really unhappy about it, but they might also just kick up a small diplomatic stink then move on. 20 people in India would be doing well to register as a rounding error, the Indians appear to have been benefiting greatly from the war and one of their major diplomats has been talking a lot about making sure the Russian's have diplomatic options. So maybe it is a big deal or not, it really depends on India's response before there is anything interesting to note.
- KingOfCoders 3y agoAs the article as has 28 upvotes, 28 people on Hackernews disagree about the relevancy. Not sure though if calling 20 possibly dead people a "rounding error" is appropriate.

- dist-epoch 3y agoRussians are using a layered infantry approach in Ukraine. The first tier is for a so called "meat attack". You don't need no training for this, nor are you expected to survive. They preferably use prisoners/foreigneres/migrants/non-ethnic russians for these echelons.
- willcipriano 3y agoThe US has also been talking of importing guest workers for a similar purpose as it's domestic population is no longer signing up to die in the wars it's leadership started.
- IAmGraydon 3y agoInteresting, but has no place on HN. Flagged.
- alephnerd 3y agoThank you!
