- deprecative 3y agoI'll be honest this is almost me as well. I have 10 YoE and I got laid off at the start of this cratering and have been since. About two ish years now. If I could do anything else and that something else paid anywhere near what this field does (did) I'd probably have left. I've been in the first or second round of layoffs at several companies and have had to job hop where I haven't to get paid decently. It's soul crushing but there's nothing I can do. I've always had great reviews, I'm decently personable, and all the normal office politics jazz. Anyway, I just wanted to empathize. Hope you find success wherever you end up.
