CoreDNS is going to fail you scale K8s
- glitchcrab 3y agoTwo coredns pods was _never_ going to be enough for a cluster this size; a failure was always going to happen at some point. I've seen clusters less than half this size kill their coredns deployment with too many requests. With clusters this size you should really be running something like nodelocaldns to cut down on requests to coredns.
- BillyTheMage 3y agoMy brain is struggling to comprehend the structure of the title sentence. Subject verb object verb object? I don't get it. It's as confusing as that "a door is a door is a door" thing where people say something is itself and everyone acts like they know what that's supposed to mean. Here's a sentence with an equivalent structure: "Chefs are going to feed me eat gravy". Or how about "My bike will go fast has wheels". I thought maybe it was just broken English, but the article is very well-written. The title must have been on purpose, especially because they mention the title in explicit detail at the top of the article, but they only change "CoreDNS" to "CoreDNS default settings", mentioning nothing about the 2 extra words hanging at the end of the sentence. Which one of these is correct?: - CoreDNS is going to fail you, scale your K8s! - CoreDNS is going to fail, you scale your K8s before it's too late! - CoreDNS is going to fail you if you scale your K8s - CoreDNS is going to cause you to be unable to scale your K8s - CoreDNS is going to fail, you damn scale K8s Is "scale K8s" an insult if you call someone that?
