There are growing calls for Google CEO Sundar Pichai to step down

- rawgabbit 3y agoThe thrill is gone at Alphabet Google. The name Google has meaning in that they originally wanted to digitize all knowledge. The name Alphabet tells me they are now running a portfolio of companies with no other purpose than to squeeze as much revenue out of the golden goose until it dies. Well OpenAi has clearly signaled the end of an era and the death of Google search. Instead of “googling” things I know “ChatGPT” it.
- infotainment 3y agoLet’s hope he does, but realistically they’ll never ditch him. His special power of “not understanding the product and also making terrible decisions all the time” seems to be the primary job of CEOs in general these days.
