Google Messages RCS is not working on rooted, custom ROM Android phones
- mouse_ 3y agoThey have thoroughly embraced and extended your chat protocol. Are you not entertained?
- phh 3y agoI feel like the article's title is wrong: It is not that "it is not working". It's that Google actively shadow bans users. It's not a bug or anything. Also, this is not RCS if login requires loggin into Google garden. Let's stop calling it RCS. I want to say that it's just the strict equivalent to iMessage, but no, iMessage doesn't prevent you from receiving messages, and Apple public communication doesn't pretend iMessage is "standard".
