Open-Source Observability – SigNoz
- igetspam 3y agoAnyone want to share their personal experience with moving from Grafana to SigNoz? I really like the idea of this project but is it better?

- ankit01-oss 3y agothe biggest advantage of signoz over grafana is that you don't have to use multiple backends. If you want to do logs, metrics, and traces in a single tool, then signoz might be a better choice. In terms of visualization capabilites, Grafana has more options but signoz is catching up on that.
- nickzelei 3y agoI’ve had my eye on this for a while. As a small startup I’ve been using datadog for a while but am hesitant to stay on it due to the expense. I like the idea of self hosting as well as being otel based.

- hahn-kev 3y agoMan I would love to self host this for a small project, but looking at the self hosting option, there's more containers there than my whole application.
- ankitnayan 3y agoHowever the CPU and memory resources used are very minimalist. On no load conditions, it takes around 0.3-0.5 CPUs and 1.5-2GB RAM
- ianschmitz 3y agoThat’s the definition of minimal? 0.5 of a core while doing nothing?
