Not everyone is in a relationship where they can easily just walk away. Imagine, for example, a married couple with a child who have drifted apart over the years, and one partner strongly suspects the other is cheating. Getting proof of that can be extremely useful in divorce/custody proceedings.

- bhaney 3y agoRegardless of what you personally consider "sane," the 33 US states that allow for fault divorces still have people living in them.
- 082349872349872 3y agoIIUC, those 33 fit my personal sanity criterion, in that they still allow for the original comment's strategy: there's no trust and you should leave.
