great idea. My first thought is it needs a rope on it, to pull it out of the avalanches. Second thought is to wonder how many sensors you could cram on it and how much you can tell from them. Finding damp patches in the bin would be good, but it might have to have a pause and dwell time for the sensors to get decent humidity readings. Any opening will become clogged with grain and dust; so they've prolly got their hands full keeping the propellers running.
