Sony is laying off 900 Playstation employees
- 1letterunixname 3y agoMy imagining of recent Wall St. social club conversations: Alright boys, let's lay off some more nerds. Profits need to stay high and we can't let them think they're irreplaceable or entitled to free snacks. And it's an opportunity to shed some deadwood.

- ChrisArchitect 3y agoRecent repeat stories are discouraged to keep the discussion threads together and avoid seeing same story over and over. Lots of discussion over there a few days ago when this was news (and this post itself was already shared earlier once too)

- tambourine_man 3y agoI wouldn't have posted if I had seen it, of course.
- pipeline_peak 3y agoPlayStation is at a really bad spot. They don’t have the brand Nintendo has. Then from an acquisition standpoint, Microsoft is a lot more powerful than Sony is. The future for Xbox is streaming, hence why they’re buying all these brands. They know once consoles die, you’ll really have to go to them.
